I'm looking for some advice and motivational tips as I will be spending the last two weeks of the challenge on the road in the US working. There are many challenges I face here, and any small piece of advice or motivation any of you have will be greatly appreciated. Basically in the control of my own environment, and with the support at Crossfit, my food and exercise has been great. But now I need to go out the world on my own! I know I'm the only one who can control any of the below - but still ...

So, I'm trying to get as much exercise in as possible at the moment. I generally CF 5 times a week and I'll do a body weight or push-up/sit-up practice 2-3 times a week.

Which leaves Wed & Sunday as rest days, but I'm thinking that if I want to crank it up and get more out of this challenge I should do more, but is that the right thing to do? I find myself looking at the work outs on Wednesdays and thinking "well I should be doing that"...

Is there an appropriate work/rest ...

For example - I have over the last two weeks dramaticlly cut down on the wine intake. I think over the last two weeks have had only three glasses and no chocolate, excerised every day bar one and the scales seem to be stuck. Usually it would be wne every night and chocolate every three days.

I'm a bit worried that I'm eating too much cheese. I'm definitely not ready to cut all dairy out of my diet, but I have cut down on a lot of it, especially milk. However, I'm eating more cheese then ever. I would usually have some cheese in two out of four meals per day, mostly edam and feta, find that it's a good way to get a bit more protein and fat in. I don't seem to have any problems tolerating it. Funnily enough, the thing that upsets my stomach the most is a) too much sugar and b) ...

Hi

After most of this year of getting off dairy and grains I have been rewarded with fantastic no bloat results which feels great! But since the challenge I have taken up milk and fish oil and am back in the bloat! No joke. I know I want to try and gain muscle, but not if I get the bloat - do you reckon its the milk cos I will drop it if it is! I don't see how it could be the fish oil, hmm, what about cottage cheese, I got that this week...?

I'm going on a trip to Portugal and Canada in mid-June, and while I love traveling, the same thing can not be said for plane rides.

I have three main issues with long plane trips:

1. My head flopping all over the place when I fall asleep upright in plane seat. Extra for experts: Begin drooling on person in next seat.

2. Crying children. I'm sure some parents will be reading this and all I can say is that I think your children are very lovely and cute but the giant caveat here is: ...

I'm trying to figure out the quantity of food I should be consuming. I'm currently on a restricted but comfortable intake (see my

food log for specifics) but I'm concerned that if anything it is too low. Is there a rule of thumb as to how much I should be consuming on any given day?

This is a reasonably typical day at the moment:

Tomatoes, Raw - 80g

Yup, am loving all the good info you have put out for us. Still taking it all in - looks like I eat too much fruit!

Since crossfit has already leaned me up pretty well, I am ready to try and put on some muscle so I can Crossfit better. I see milk is put forward as a key way to get the carb/energy/protein in. I have already dropped milk from my intake - should I get back into it again to build muscle, or am I ok just upping the fat/carb a bit and doing the heavy weights? ...

I am out of action exercise wise for another 10-14 days. I have begun to increase my fat intake in the last few days as I have needed an uptake of energy. I assume fat intake is something to increase/decrease as necessary and while I am unable to CrossFit there would be likely less depletion of energy so therefore I woud decrease fat intake.
